Don Parkins
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, April 23, 2023, the Sheriff's Office was contacted by a family member concerned about the whereabouts of Carroll Donald Parkins, 78, of Colton. On the morning of Saturday, April 22, Parkins had left home to go "shed hunting" -- searching for the shed antlers of deer or elk -- in the woods off Molalla Forest Road.
When Parkins failed to return, family members located his truck -- a silver Toyota Tundra -- parked on a gravel pull-out on Molalla Forest Road. The family then contacted the Sheriff’s Office.

Bryson Fitch
Bryson was on board the Ethel May on 2/5 when the boat took on a large wave that left the crew to scramble on to a life raft. That large wave led the Ethel May to sink. Out of the 3 crew members, Bryson was the only one who didn't make it onto the life raft. The Coast Guard rescued the two crewmen in the life raft but had no luck finding Bryson.
Kyle Kirchem
Kyle Kirchem went missing on November 20, 2022. A few days later, his car was found crashed in a ravine. Kyle was missing for 70 days until his family found his remains about 3/4 of a mile from his vehicle. The families tireless efforts searching for Kyle for 70 days led to him being found. Aloft Drone Search flew grids of over 1000 acres but did not yet fly over his location by the time he was found.
Gwen Brunelle
Gwen went missing on June 26, 2023 after leaving Boise to drive to Fresno, California. Her vehicle was found abandoned at a pullout on Succor Creek Road, off of Highway 95. Extensive search efforts in that area were unsuccessful. Gwen's family hired Terravata, a drone company out of Homedale, Idaho to grid search approximately 4000 acres taking tens of thousands of high resolution images. Aloft Drone Search was contacted by Gwen's family asking for help which we agreed to and started planning a trip for late spring, early summer once the snow melts off. In the meantime, we offered to have our expert Image Viewers review the drone images already taken by Terravata. After about 1 months of maticulously viewing thousands of images, we spotted what we believed were to be human remains. We notified the Malheur County Sheriff's Office and they immediately sent people out to find the location to positively identify the targets of interest. We were notified by Sheriff Johnson that they were indeed human remains and notified the family of Gwen's of the news.
